Apricot:
ISO: 100
Exposure: 1/500 sec
Aperture: 8.0
Focal Length: 300mm
Flash Used: Yes (-1.7 EV)
Great day today, warm and sunny. Birds, bees, everything enjoys the coming spring.
I learn how to use flash in daylight photography. Have to say i like the results. It adds a lot to images and i am able to shot with faster exposures, which is important when using such a long (and not so fast) lens. And i can shot with smaller apertures to get a greater DOF. The only thing to remember is to lower the flash value to something like -1.5 EV to avoid overexposure and blue color cast. I don't use BL either as i need a darker background which makes the subject to «pop». Overall i think these images are far from perfection, but i'm still learning.
Two more images after the break.

amazing details! very nice picture!
Thanks! :) These are advantages of using flash even in bright day.
Funny to read it when currently there is a storm outside :)
I didn't know Apricot already blooming, guess the spring is officially here.
Love the colors and the photo, makes kinda miss the spring (I just hate the Israeli summer, really).
Wow, this storm was really hard, i got to go home in pouring rain.
Spring IS officially here, yep.
I really prefer summer as i can't stand cold at all. +40 makes me feel better than +10. :)
Beautiful as always. I've never thought to use the flash for subjects like these, perhaps I'll give it a try. I love spring and like you love the summer but we never get 40+ here!!
Thanks Craig, glad you like it.
My friend - professional photographer - once told me to use the flash in every light condition: «Whatever you shoot, get your flash on». Seems like he was right.
Well, it's a real desert here: hot and dry in summer, cold and, heh, dry in winter. I prefer the heat, less clothes to wear and no need to heat the house.
Yesterday's rain was an unusual thing, we don't get raining like this too often.
