I can't decide if this is peaceful or not. I thought so at first, but then I remembered how my girlfriend's cat looks like that right before he pounces after something (which more often has become part of me).
Here it is peaceful: she's a «grandmother» of all our cats, full of self-esteem and, actually, too old to do stupid things. You can see it in the ears position, by the way.
What do you look for? I'm a dog person, so my experience is limited to at most 3 or 4 days at a time, and that's not exactly concentrating on the cat.
I am a cat person: cats were all around me all my life (but we have three dogs anyway). I think dogs are the same, sure you can read their «body language». This thing is very difficult to explain, it's an experience more than knowledge.
